VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Expo Set-up Crew
Volunteers needed to help set up the Expo. Set-up begins Thursday at noon and goes until the work is done. This includes helping setup t-shirt pickup, Kids Marathon registration, volunteer check-in and other areas.

T-Shirt Pick-Up
Volunteers greet runners and distribute goodie bags, t-shirts and posters. Opportunities available Friday and Saturday.

Packet Pick-up
Participants will pick up their packets at the Expo in the Cox Center. Volunteers will be responsible for handing out packets to the participants. Several shifts are available and we will work with your schedule!

Finish Line Set-up
Come help us on Saturday, from 10am-8pm on Broadway, between 6th and 4th streets. We will be setting up the fencing for the finish line and hanging up banners.

Course Marshal (Intersection and Runner Control)
Take a front seat and watch the runners with this volunteer opportunity! We need people to direct runners at intersections throughout the course of the race. Shifts vary throughout the day depending on the location. Volunteers are needed for numerous shifts Sunday, race day between 6:30 am-1:30pm. Intersection captains are also needed to recruit others to help with intersection control. The "Captains" will assist the volunteer coordinator in placing people at intersections throughout the day. Please feel free to call for more information!

Green Ambassadors
The Memorial Marathon is going green!  Our main initiative for this year is to focus on diverting as much waste as possible from the landfill through recycling efforts.  Volunteers will assist in collecting recyclables in the finish line area, serving the 23,000+ participants expected for the race.

Finish Line
Interested in handing out medals, food and mylar blankets to the finishers? How about acting as a "catcher" to the finishers? Many runners need a shoulder to lean on after crossing the finish line. Shifts are available Sunday, race day from 5:30 am- to 2:30 pm.

Course Breakdown
Course breakdown begins soon after the race ends. We need help Sunday, race day between 12:30 pm - 5 pm. You tell us when you are available.

Finish Line Breakdown
Join us after the race Sunday, from 2:00-5:00pm to remove banners and fencing, load trucks, and clean up.
